Introducing the Ascension Society
The Ascension Society is a psytrance inspired cultural organization in Toronto, Canada committed to nursing and advancing human culture. The central idea of psytrance is "the union between our collective tribal past and the promise of an enlightened and conscientious technological future. Merging the rational with the romantic, psychedelic trance bridges the gap between distinct eras of human history" (ektoplazm.com). We are a cultural activist organization whose mandate is to:
1. Eplore all forms of psytrance and human culture and ask how they are significant and valuable to humanity.
2. Act as a forum for the interchange of cultural phenomena that dont usually enter into dialogue.
3. Research and explore fields of study not usually found in academia.
4. Persistently aim to unify all our research to provide the organization with an unified political vision and goal.
5. Form localized cells globally that act on the above and contribute to the realization of a higher humanity and a stronger global network of civlizations. Our ultimate aim is to contribute to their long term sustenance and ultiamtely an enhancement of your experience of life.
